First look at the Volvo Concept Coupe

We'll have to wait another two weeks to know for sure, but one of the prettiest concepts of the Frankfurt Motor Show is sure to be this Volvo Concept Coupé. Yes, you read "pretty" and "Volvo," snuggled right up together in the same sentence. "It is the prettiest Volvo ever," proclaimed MT sister publication Automobile Mag's design guru Robert Cumberford, and nobody disagreed. Borrowing some subtle cues from the P1800 (which "The Saint" drove, if you'll recall) — the last car to hold those bragging rights — the Concept Coupé appears as the first of three concepts that will, over the coming show season, funnel customer expectations in the direction of the company's new Scalable Product Architecture. SPA will manifest first in the 2015 XC90, followed shortly by the S90 and V90 (for other markets)We'll have to wait another two weeks to know for sure, but one of the prettiest concepts of the Frankfurt Motor Show is sure to be this Volvo Concept Coupé. Lancashire School Blaze Five Boys Arrested

Police have arrested five boys aged between 11 and 15 on suspicion of arson following a school fire in Lancashire. The blaze broke out on Sunday afternoon at Leyland St Mary’s High School on Royal Avenue. At one point, 125 firefighters and 20 fire engines were tackling the fire. The school, which was built in 1957, had no sprinklers. Lancashire Police announced on Twitter: “Five boys in total, aged between 11 and 15, have now been arrested on suspicion of arson following the fire at Leyland St Mary’s High School.” They were later released on police bail until September 30. Classes were due to resume at the school on Tuesday. A note on the school’s website said: “A fire at school today (Sunday) has caused devastating damage. “This website will post details of when pupils will be able to return … Please pray for the school at this difficult time.” Lancashire County Councillor Matthew Tomlinson said on Twitter: “As a former pupil of Leyland St Mary’s, I’m so sorry to hear of devastating fire. I hope to be a part of the LCC team who rebuilds it.”

Wow! You Will Not Believe What This Is!

This image is of the underbelly of a Sumarian Toad. Incredibly, this toad has its young living inside its stomach, and are born in a ‘zit popping’ kind of way. Some find this very squeamish to look at, but here it is. Images couThis image is of the underbelly of a Sumarian Toad. The top 10 fashion faux pas

The same man who can reduce many to tears with his music, has also helped reduce many to tears with his fashion choices. No, there's no problem with the sparkly jackets, or the elaborate shades, or even the questionable toupé; it’s the platform shoes that Elton John is famed for wearing that are the second worst fashion faux pas.

Lady Gaga and other stars' wacky headgear

She's officially back after her minor hiatus from music - and she's as wacky as ever. Lady Gaga's visor attracted the attention of pretty much everyone as she strolled down the street in New York. And it's not just the Applause singer who's following this trend - it looks like anything goes, so grab whatever's near you and whack it on your head for the latest A-list trend!
Not every girl likes to be taken out to the same nightspot that everyone in the city appears to be heading to. Some girls like it loud, others like it smooth and sophisticated; some don't even drink a drop of alcohol. For every kind of girl, there's a nightspot in KL that suits her personality just right – here's a beginner's guide to the different kinds of places to take her out to on a Friday night...
Warren Beatty “You’re so vain,” sang Carly Simon, “you probably think this song is about you.” A lot of smart money has it that the song is about movie legend Warren Beatty, Simon’s ex lover. Simon has never officially revealed the subject of her barbed musings, but Beatty really does think it’s about him. “Let's be honest,” the star claimed in 2007. “That song is about me.” Beatty’s vanity appears to have worked. It’s claimed he has slept with 12,775 women.

Daredevil Completes Grand Canyon Tightrope Walk The 34-year-old, who walked across the Niagara Falls last year, prayed constantly as he crossed a tributary gorge of the US landmark on a quarter-mile long high wire some 1,500 feet (457 meters) above the Little Colorado River. Wind gusts were higher than expected, and he twice crouched down on the wire. "Those winds (were) so unpredictable ... just out of the blue there would be a 35 miles (56 kilometers) an hour gust," he said. "My arms are aching like you couldn't believe," he added, hugging his wife and children after the nerve-wracking walk -- without a harness -- over the stunning gorge in eastern Arizona, broadcast live around the world. Organizers said he took 22 minutes and 54 seconds to cross the 1,400 feet (426 meters) -- faster than anticipated -- giving a thumbs up and half-running the last several yards to reach the other side. Wallenda's feat made it into the top 10 global topics on Twitter, with organizers saying there were some 700,000 tweets during the walk alone. There was some debate over whethe

Saddam Hussein It’s a different league of vanity, of course, but dictators are often vain to the point of caricature, and none more so than former Iraqi president Saddam. His face adorned office buildings, schools, airports and shops. His statues sprang up like weeds. But perhaps most damningly of all, he wrote an appalling novel in which a hero much like himself falls in love with a peasant girl (representing Iraq), who is in turn violently raped by her husband (representing America), leaving the hero (Saddam) to exact heroic revenge. It won't win the Booker prize.

Swim in ice cold waters In Finland, the natives can go a little bonkers – and insist you do the same by taking part in their long-running custom of taking a swim in an ice hole. Of course, the Finns being as they are, you're encouraged to do this with nothing but your Speedos on to prevent you from making an instant sperm bank deposit. However, you do have the option of heading into the sauna first to warm up, while the locals you a pussy. Watch a video of ice-hole swimming in Finland here.
Face a Great White Shark South Africa is the place to go to for seeing the Great White Shark, up close and personal. It's also for those who don't mind losing a limb or two, as diver Bryan Plummer realised when a Great White Shark nearly tore into the protective cage he was in. Plummer's friends had the sense (or lack of) to continue filming his experience amid the red swirl of blood that surrounded him – which wasn't his, thankfully – resulting in a terrifying experience that even Spielberg would find difficult to replicate.
Road tripping on the world's most dangerous road The world's most dangerous road lies in Bolivia's 50-mile long North Rungas Road, on which 200 to 300 travellers taking the scenic route from La Paz to Coroico die every year before 2006. Only centimetres of road keeps you from plunging several hundred metres to certain (but scenic) death – not helped by constant rockfalls and fully packed busses and lorries squeezing past each other. An alternative route between the two towns has been around since 2006, making this road essentially one for the death-wish seeking tourists.
